When going through the process of getting a Simple Landlords Insurance quote you will be asked to provide an amount for the Buildings Sum Insured (BSI). This figure is the cost for rebuilding your property if it was completely destroyed. This should not be confused with the market value of the property (which is normally much higher than your Sum Insured). It is equally important not to underestimate your Buildings Sum Insured should you come to make a claim the insurers will reduce the amount that they pay you in proportion to the amount you have underestimated.
The amount of buildings cover must represent the full cost of rebuilding your let property. We can provide cover from a minimum of £75,000 to a maximum of £2million. If you are unsure how much cover you require, please follow the link to the website of the Association of British Insurers to obtain an accurate estimate.
Yes, we can. At Simple we can offer cover for a wide range of tenants types, some of which are often declined by other landlords insurance providers.
Yes, unlike some other providers, Simple Landlords Insurance offer a contents only option.
A traditional home insurance policy may not pay when the property is being used to make an income (for example when you are renting your property to tenants). Equally, Landlords Insurance provides additional cover such as Landlords Liability and Loss of Rent, which are not offered through normal home insurance policies. To ensure you are fully protected, it is recommended that you purchase a Landlord's Insurance policy which is specifically designed for these circumstances.
