Property owners have been urged not to risk carrying out difficult or dangerous DIY work in order to save money.The National Home Improvement Council has prompted landlords and other homeowners to get professional assistance when completing challenging tasks.For landlords, doing a job badly could result in problems with tenants, health and safety issues and let property insurance concerns.Andrew Leech, director of the National Home Improvement Council, said that it is not worth saving a little money considering the risks.He noted: "There are certain situations where you must call in a tradesperson - a professional - and let them get on with the job."Things might go wrong and you find yourself spending more as a result of doing it yourself than you'd have done if you'd called in a professional person in the first place.
