Landlords who let their properties on contracts with all bills included could be among those to be affected by "mixed news" on water prices. While average water bills appear to be set to remain "relatively steady" according to regulator Ofwat, the Consumer Council for Water has voiced concerns that prices are still set to increase from some customers.According to the organisation, households supplied by United Utilities Water and Northumbrian Water could face rises of £16 and £11 respectively on average bills.Dame Yve Buckland, chair of the Consumer Council for Water, said: "While generally the package looks better for customers over the next five years, one of the major issues emerging out of this price review is the ever increasing gap between bills for customers with water meters and those without, and we are currently in discussions with Ofwat as to how that problem can be addressed."The organisation explained that while many could save money by switching to the meter system, the change could in fact mean a price rise for some customers.Get a landlords insurance quote today from Simple Landlords Insurance.
