A new guide has been launched by the Land Registry to provide assistance for landlords and other property owners. The publication will focus on what to do where deeds lodged for registration need to be altered or corrected. There is practical advice on the steps that need to be taken to complete this process, which may come up due to a clerical error or a change of plan.Pascal Lalande, from the Land Registry's Registration Change Group, explained: "Most deeds, which include registrable dispositions such as transfers from sellers to buyers; leases from landlords to tenants and legal charges from property owners to lenders are completed and registered without any problems."However, in order to help customers avoid any registration pitfalls, we have produced a new guide which discusses the different issues that need to be considered when deeds lodged for registration require correction or alteration."The new publication is number 68 in the Land Registry's series of guides.Get a landlord insurance quote today from Simple Landlords Insurance.
