Scotland is bracing for the next big storm - Storm Caroline - set to disrupt road, rail and ferry transport, and bring wintery weather to large parts of the north.
Yellow warnings have been issued by the Met Office for snow, ice and wind on Friday and Saturday, with flood alerts in place for areas including Ayrshire, Lochaber, Caithness and Sunderland.
